Contains 23 chapters as per the Revised Nursing Syllabus. Each disease condition that is discussed in the chapters has an introduction. Contains diagrammatically illustrated pathophysiology with causative factors, symptoms, and complications. Essential nursing diagnoses and their related risk factors used by specific nursing diagnoses are included in the nursing process, along with defining characteristics related to the condition that are taken from the body system. The format of the defining characteristics is the same as that of the essential nursing diagnoses and nursing processes. The nursing diagnoses are based on North American Nursing Diagnosis Association (NANDA) taxonomy. The nursing process chapters are elaborated as per the components of the nursing process and the application of nursing theories has been added.
